A modern investment platform with growing product complexity
Investimental is a financial services company offering investment solutions including stocks, bonds, and ETFs. The company serves both individual and corporate clients and focuses on making investing more accessible, responsible, and informed.
As the business evolved, the need was not for a single application, but for a coordinated digital ecosystem able to support customer journeys, internal business operations, investor education, and integrations with the broader financial infrastructure.
Building more than a standalone fintech application
The challenge was not simply to develop a new platform interface. The real need was to create a connected product environment that could support multiple user journeys, operational workflows, and system integrations in a regulated market.
This meant dealing with multiple product components with different roles inside the ecosystem, onboarding, KYC, account management, and trading-related workflows, the need for consistency between customer-facing experiences and internal operations, integrations with external platforms and financial software, evolving product requirements over time, not just one-time delivery, and the expectations that come with reliability, security, and maintainability in financial services.
The project required more than development capacity alone. It required structured delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to turn business requirements into a product ecosystem that could continue to grow after launch.
A connected suite of applications for customers, teams, and core operations
We worked with Investimental across a set of seven core components that formed part of their wider digital ecosystem. Our role was to contribute across discovery, solution design, engineering, and long-term product evolution, helping shape an environment that supports both external user journeys and internal operational control.
Customer web portal
A central client-facing application designed to support onboarding, identity verification, account management, portfolio access, deposits and withdrawals, reporting, and secure access to related services.
Back-office platform
An internal operational system giving administrators visibility and control across key business areas, including account management, permissions, and workflow oversight.
Presentation website
A custom-designed public-facing website built to support brand presence, explain services and learning programs, and connect marketing activity with the wider product ecosystem.
Learning management system
A dedicated investor education platform with courses, quizzes, integration with the portal, and custom features such as gamification and commission-related incentives tied to learning activity.
Backend systems and integrations
Core backend services supporting product logic, orchestrations, and integrations with third-party services, financial software, the Bucharest Stock Exchange, and global trading platforms.
Web trading experience
A browser-based trading application connected to the wider ecosystem and accessible through a unified user journey.
Mobile trading experience
A mobile application extending trading-related access and improving product availability across devices.

We approached the project as a structured delivery effort shaped around collaboration, phased rollout, and agile execution.
The initial phase focused on understanding the product vision, requirements, user flows, third-party dependencies, and technical constraints. From there, the project moved into planning, architecture, design, estimation, and backlog definition before entering development.
As the platform grew in scope and complexity, the team expanded to support delivery across multiple applications and workstreams. After the first major releases, the collaboration continued through feedback loops, fixes, feature expansion, and ongoing support.
This approach helped us align business and technical priorities from the start, deliver in manageable stages across a multi-component ecosystem, adapt to changing requirements as the product evolved, and maintain continuity between planning, implementation, launch, and iteration.
